May 12, 2023 - Alcoholic, harsh, fruit has declined. Not near as good as privious bottle.

December 14, 2022 - black fruited and juicy, but lacking the wild garrigue or bloody mneral cut of a more rhone styled syrah expression.

August 11, 2022 - Ett favoritvardagsvin som fortsätter leverera. Retrokänsla (rustikt?) med massa örter, kaffe och mörka plommon. Inget som förstör helheten eller spretar, klunkbarheten är stor.

July 8, 2022 - (Imported by Kermit Lynch). Most of the fruit is sourced from a lieu-dit called Le Bosquet. Grapes undergo a cold maceration. The Syrah is aged in barrels, the others grapes are aged in demi-muids for at least 12 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 74% Syrah, 6% Grenache, 4% Cinsault, 6% Mourvèdre, 10% Carignan.
    _________

    Color: Dark ruby.

Nose: Beautiful, pungent, slightly rustic, slightly reduced (in mid '22) nose of wild blackberry, black plum, black raspberry, tar, coffee, and garrigue spice. Would benefit from 24 hours of controlled aeration (or a year or two of more age).

Palate: Med-full body (14.5% alc), with notable mid-palet richness and concentration. A bit soft in tannin and acidity.

    _________
Saint-Chinian is a beautiful remote region just east of Carcassonne. Wonderful regional character. Decent price at $28 - $30 USD. This would be fantastic with cassoulet, duck, squab, bavette, various stews, or pasta with wild mushrooms.

June 19, 2022 - Superb fruit together with licorice and coffee. Minerality adds a salty feeling in the aftertaste. A joy to drink now.
