  October 3, 2023 - A brooding yet elegant Syrah. Blackish fruits, iron, herb, coriander, black pepper, before taut energetic finish. Still very young and a bit rustic, but with a day i the fridge it gained depth and a bit smoke a sois bois, Bought on a whim and after seeing the 14.4% ETOH i was concerned but this is a very well made. Will hold the other bottler for several more years

  November 2, 2022 - Blackberries, minerals (metallic, iodine), mixed herbs, blood, seared meat. Just the faintest fleeting hint of cocoa. Aftertaste was initially unremarkable, but became beautifully intense, even, long, and rich, with a distinct note of black pepper, after about 20 minutes in the glass. (Tasted over an hour from both the Jancis Robinson glass and the Conterno glass, with surprisingly similar results. Not as good from the Riedel Vinum Cabernet Sauvignon glass.) [The remainder of the bottle, 24 hours later, stoppered and refrigerated but not otherwise preserved, was unchanged, which suggests that this will stay in good shape for at least 5 years and possibly longer.]
