January 17, 2015 - Very smooth syrah. No need to cellar any further. Opened up quite a bit after being decanted for 2 hours.

August 11, 2008 - Popped and poured. I had forgotten how good this wine is. A veritable fruit lineup on the nose--cherries, blackberries, blueberries, black raspberries. No noticeable oak or heat. No changes from nose to the mouth. Gobs of fruit on the palate and just a hint of smokiness lurking in the background. Very nice finish from a incredibly pleasurable bottle of wine. I need to drink more Abeja as I seem to have this experience everytime with their syrah and cab. 91pts.

July 20, 2008 - Nice floral and spice aromas. Good fruit, nice texture, but not real distinctive. May develop further, try again in summer 2009.

July 8, 2008 - Had this before at the winery and another bottle that I enjoyed. Served it a lil too warm but after I cooled it off it had some chocolate, a lil oak, really jammy dark berries and just a touch of W2 funk. Pretty smooth and went well with avocado burgers.

January 11, 2008 - Lush, cool blue and black fruit. With a meaty Rhone-ish note that emerged with airtime. Not the slightest bit hot, despite 14.6% alcohol. Only flaw is a slight bitter note on the finish, but it barely detracts from a very, very nice experience. Very nice QPR at $32 at the winery last spring.
