December 3, 2020 - 40 years on and this is still very much alive! Meaty, earthy, pinot nose that's quite complex. Lean and tart on the palate with nice fruit and a long finish. Remarkable!

May 28, 2007 - From a magnum at yhn's memorial day barbecue. Tasted immediately after a 1985 Cronin Carneros, which was showing its age - this definitely was not. Poured blind I doubt anyone would call this as over 25 years old.

May 18, 2007 - Cronin Vineyards Memorial OL w/aged Cali Pinots and Chards (Bistro Elan, Palo Alto, California): Narrow but nice cherry, mushroom and vanilla nose; tangy, tart, earthy pomegranate and red fruit with good acidity and earthy, mushroom edges; medium finish 92+ pts.

March 24, 2007 - Third Cronin pinot in 2 weeks. Believe it or not, this one showed better than the 90 and 95. Hardly any change in color. Dark maroon. The nose definitely hinted older wine but the fruit was definitely present! The fruit was showing dark raspberries and even strawberries. Definitely some coffee grounds and some forest floor. Very nice wine that aged so gracefully! Solid 90 points but a great A+ deal if we are factoring in QPR. This one also is sold out. DAMNIT!!
