July 23, 2020 - Double blind: Nose shows bright fruit. A little marzipan creamy. Sunny - wild strawberry a bit of clove or licorice. No way I ever get this a Pinot Noir. Palate shows bright acid, earthy. Wild strawberry spicy. Some said that with time this got better and showed more varietal typicity, but I drank mine early. Oh well.

January 1, 2019 - Pop n' pour. This is truly firing on all cylinders. A magical, full, intense and layered nose that leads with savory black cherry and includes waves of earth, leather, roasted herbs, meat and spice. The palate is richly textured with GC density yet is so suave and ethereal. Fruit is amazing bright and fresh. Long, lingering finish. Awesome stuff.

March 2, 2018 - La Paulée Zachy's Auction (Mourad - SF, CA): A very serious if understated CSD. Good fresh savory and spicy black cherry. Nice persistence throughout. Still young.

March 2, 2018 - Some Wine Tasted at the Zachys La Paulée Auction (Mourad - San Francisco CA): Incredibly charming black and red cherry aromas with big spice box. Bright red fruit flavors with a slightly tart finish that is slightly awkward right now, possibly just needing more air.

September 5, 2017 - More or less a pop n' pour, this took a good hour to come around at which point it was banging on all cylinders. The nose is layered with good still sweet black cherry, toasted herbs and a big spice kick. A hugely energetic and layered palate with terrific concentration. Layered. Massive spice kick into a long, long finish. Great.
