March 20, 2024 - Arrow & Branch winemaker dinner at Murphy's (Atlanta, GA): A&B winemaker dinner @ Murphy's in Atlanta. From Magnum. PNP. Paired with Fazzolerri pasta (lamb). Drinking very well. This is A&B's blend that's inspired by Cheval Blanc. My second favorite wine of the night. I picked some of this up for my cellar. Brad - heavypourwine.com

November 8, 2022 - I say with a little air, this is good to go. Drink with a couple hours in the decanter, or hold with confidence for 5++ years. Black fruited. Polished on the front end, with an asphalt-chocolate-blackberry thing going on that turns into a nice lava rock bite (in a good way) on the tail. My kind of A&B.

May 27, 2022 - Two hour decant. Deep dark ruby color. Dark raspberry purée, blackberry, blueberry pancakes, butterscotch brittle, bay leaf-infused chocolate cake, and oregano on the complex nose. Smooth, tongue drying palate. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish. 50% CF, 24% CS, 24% Merlot, and 2% PV.
The nose is not as “sweet” as it sounds. This is a serious, complex blend. Interesting balance of fruit, baking spice, and modestly herbal notes.2 people found this helpful Comments (2) -

September 14, 2021 - In light of the 2018 release decided to pop a 2016. Three hour decant and this was ready to go. Somewhat translucent, medium bodied but the palate packed a bigger punch than the body would indicate. Oak is managed well, a few drying tannins on a medium finish, plenty of acid for this to age well.
On the nose, floral perfume, smoked meats, green bay leaf, coffee, exotic spice. Hints of red fruit and an overall earthy profile on the nose as well. The nose reminded me of Kobalt cabs from years gone by.
On the palate, more spice, black fruits, black raspberry, dried cherries, seemingly restrained yet refreshing on the finish. Enough fruit for Napa lovers, not enough restraint for true Bordeaux lovers. Drank best at cellar temperature as it warmed the palate became muted and notes of purple fruits and violets appeared.
At three hours consistent notes ... drinking nicely
