January 16, 2009 - Popped and poured. Nose of asparagus turning to overwhelming vegetation. The color was a beautiful deep purple/black. The flavor was extreme mineral with a hint of dark fruits. Balanced with smooth tannin. I have no idea what I would ever serve (food wise) with this wine. I've really tried to give a thorough rating of this wine, but it was just not pleasurable for me. I did not enjoy this at all.
