April 17, 2024 - Very little tannin. Lovely red fruit flavours. Prominent wet stone smell. Restrained and so easy to drink but has elegance and complexity to it.

February 16, 2024 - Prior bottle was one year ago and the wine continues to show impressively. Red and black cherry, red berries and raspberry on the nose to go along with spice and earth notes. Feels like this is more aromatically complex than previously. Medium bodied with black cherry upfront, adding black and red raspberry through the middle and plum with tart red and black cherry on the backside. Like the nose, the mid-body felt more complex but also more harmonious than previously. The mix of brighter notes and more rounded qualities gave the wine nuance as well as a liveliness. Finishes with Balanced tannins, acidity and a mix of spices and mineral notes through the finish. This wine has clearly improved over my prior bottles, but this was exactly in line with my expectations, so I kept the score the same. That said, this wine is clearly in a very good spot at present and should probably be drunk over the next year to take advantage of this window. It clearly has 2-3+ years at a high level, but right now feels like a clear peak. Very glad my final bottle could go out on such a high note.
