Community Tasting Notes 1

September 21, 2019 - Napa Cabernets & Blends (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): 92% C.S. & 8% P.V. from Coombsville, Stagecoach, Mt Veeder, & Spring Mtn, barrel aged for 21 mos in FR oak (50% new); 536 cases produced. Judging by the notes for the '14, I'm guessing this was bottled without fining or filtration.

N: Slightly closed; Fragrantly RIPE berries with notes of pyrazines & other unparsables

P: LM, *poss* Med, body; NICE, almost swtish frt fairly quickly met by an astringent pucker which only somewhat resolves by the LONG, balanced finish with a potentially elegant tangy/swtness to the dusty tannins. NEEDS through '21, but I can see a potential for this to "strut its stuff" SOMEWHERE along the line. My EXC/EXC+ (92-95/100 on that metric), though 1 experienced taster with whom I spoke was not at all pleased. :( [Check with this vendor if interested in their pricing.]
