July 10, 2011 - Smooth & delicious! An excellent wine.

May 30, 2011 - Popped and poured. Secondary aromas are playing a much bigger role as this wine ages. Lots of leather and hints of tobacco are the prominent smells as the wine opens up in the glass. The primary fruit has slipped into the background. Dusty tannins provide just enough structure. Wine is likely at peak and no reason not to be drinking these up. Would purchase again.

December 24, 2009 - Paired with beef wellington. Popped and poured. Right after the cork came out there was a huge nose of buttered corn. This blew off after about a half an hour. Still a very fruit forward wine. Lots of blue fruits balanced with a good dose of oak. Medium long length finish. Would purchase again.

November 14, 2009 - Deep inky purple with a slight ruby hue on fringe. Ripe blackberries, cassis, anise, smoke and floral notes on the nose. Macerated blackberries, vanilla black cherries, black pepper & leather well integrated into silky tannins for a full bodied wine with a extremely long finish.

January 11, 2009 - Popped, poured and paired with beef stew. Still a very fruit forward wine. Aromas of black cherries on the nose. Tons more cherry and tart raspberries on the palate. Good balance of acidity. Tannins were a bit soft on the front end, but got crisp on the finish. Flavors lasted a good long time. Would purchase again.
