January 9, 2023 - Very very good, lush smooth casis, boysenberries on the nose. Robust dust with fruit. This wine is like a balance between Oakville and St Helena. Dusty but smooth. I WOULD wait though until 2024-2025 end to get the full integration. This needed at minimum a 30 minute decant on 01/08/2023.

July 17, 2022 - Opened two bottles (last of this vintage) to accompany a steak dinner. Planned to decant for one hour but was two by time dinner was served. Beautifully smooth tannins, lots of secondary and tertiary flavors with enough stewed fruit for balance. Have enjoyed many Mario 15's. While a bit sad they're gone, there are 16's and 18's to move onto.

December 25, 2021 - Was ok. The Trinchero BRV was twice as good.

December 20, 2020 - This is a delicious 5 years old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa.

Dry on and very fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, stewed cherries, chocolates, tobacco, spices, coffee, cedar, vanilla, leather, earth and peppercorn.

Rich yet elegant. Powerful with nice complexity and a great mouthfeel. Shows a great nose.

Would benefit from another 5 years of bottle time.

Good by itself as a sipping wine. Tangy, spicy and entertaining.

Aged in French oak barrels for 20 months.

    14.8% alcohol by volume.

    92 points.

    $50.

November 21, 2020 - A good example of a traditional Napa Cab, bold fruit - blackberry, cherry with touch of oak and cassis. Well balanced with ripe soft tannins that meld well with the fruit and acidity. Finishes long with more black fruit, vanilla and hint of earth. Solid Napa Cab that would excel on its own or with any red meat.
