April 20, 2024 - Consistent with last bottle - these are just great wines and esp at $75

January 28, 2023 - First time trying this and I am quite pleased. High quality juice here. A lot of balance with equal parts fruit and structure. Still young. Hints of Puligny in here. Steely minerality with some pop on the finish. Really enjoyable. Will seek out more of this.

September 2, 2020 - Dinner at restaurant Alchemist (Copenhagen): Lots of minerality, tight expression, high acidity and delicate nose and palate. Very Chablis like. I personally prefer the style from Puligny and Meursault with a little more expressive (but not too much) body, MLF and yeast notes. At first the style is unexpected because the wine is heavily inspired by Roulot who is actually from Meursault. However knowing Roulot you know that his wines are not typical Meursault as he is responsible for some of the most crispy, clean, and mineral wines you can get. I do not fully understand WA's 94+ rating. An excellent wine but not outstanding. My comments and rating might be influenced by the very special food we had at the restaurant.

August 22, 2020 - Generally agree w/ mquentel 6/1/19 tasting note, with the addition of a saltiness to the finish that I have not personally encountered in a chardonnay. Unique, pure, complex with multiple notes evolving in the glass over a back patio grilled swordfish dinner: just excellent craftsmanship. Far away from the flabby, buttery Cali chardonnays I tend to avoid. I don't have a reference point for White Burg as I have not drank many. I'm generally not a white wine fan but hard to not appreciate this. Highly recommended.

April 6, 2020 - Mineral-driven with an appealing smokey limestone quality. Round. Persistent finish of saline minerality. (Made with assistance from Jean-Marc Roulot)
