March 20, 2023 - Lovely, refreshing, salmon pink. Hint of raspberry fruit, nice crisp acidity. Good value at £19

September 25, 2022 - Last bottle of 18 compared to last 2017. 17 has wonderful fruit backing while 18 was lacking that note. 18 was leaner and almost astringent in comparison. On to the 2020 vintage.

April 23, 2022 - Drank at our BBQ. Paired well with the iberico pork and even the picanha. This was a nice surprise, a bit light on its feet and slid down easily, almost like a white. Some light strawberry and peach notes. Lemon? Great QPR. 90

September 3, 2021 - WSET Level 4, Unit D4: Sparkling Wines (Weinakademie Österreich, Rust, Austria): Wine 8: The wine has a medium orange colour reminiscent of salmon. The nose is of medium intensity and shows primary characteristics of green fruit (e.g., apple), citrus fruit (e.g., ripe lemon), and red fruit (e.g., strawberry and raspberry) as well as secondary characteristics from autolysis that include biscuit, bread, and brioche.

On the palate the wine is dry, with medium-plus acidity, medium alcohol, and medium(-) body. The flavour intensity is medium(+). The flavours mirror the nose and include primary characteristics of green fruit (e.g., apple), citrus fruit (e.g., ripe lemon), and red fruit (e.g., strawberry and raspberry) as well as secondary characteristics from autolysis like biscuit, bread, and brioche. The mousse is comprised of small bubbles and is perceived as creamy. The finish is long.

This wine is of outstanding quality since it has good balance of fruit and acidity, and of primary and secondary characteristics, fine mousse, and a long finish. The wine is ready to drink and not suitable for further bottle aging.
