April 20, 2023 - You must be a fan of the tan(nin)… even after 7 years. Still bright and vigorous, and mouth puckering tannins can hide the nice black cherry undertone. Sipping this now with a crispy piece of porchetta skin, and it’s perfect together! So find a fatty piece of meat, and enjoy. Or maybe wait a decade and try again.

June 2, 2022 - Nice and slightly muted red cherry on the nose, and a creamy oak finish plays on the palate right after.

Creamy notes with a good mouth-feel and rather elegant too, with a medium finish. Bro Mika had decanted this for over an hour in the restaurant's chiller, and this helped soften out the tannins a little and improved the balance too - A really nice good value Rioja!

Usual blind taste session, and both my wife and myself picked Spanish, and I specifically Rioja. But I thought it was older, 2012, wrong .. a 2016 baby!

This Señorio de San Vicente is owned and run by the Eugren family since 1870, from a single vineyard, it’s fermented in oak vats, spending 20 months in these barrels, and the fruit soaks up all that new oak.

November 3, 2021 - Nose of dark fruit with some nutty notes. Some fresh berry and red fruit with damp forest floor. Good structure, and can age a while longer, but lacking dimension.

October 22, 2021 - Surprisingly refined Rioja, especially for its young age..
Tobacco and leather notes aplenty, and very enjoyable as the 2nd to last bottle of the night.

This was the bottle which @[1|9482449|Mika Tyson Teau] kindly brought along when we had finished our Big 4 wines challenge.

Delightful with Marta Kitchens signature Churros too. Frankly I was surprised I still enjoyed this after 2 Toros and 2 top class RdDs!
