September 9, 2012 - - Garnet color with slow forming legs and aromas of black pepper, cedar, raspberry and tobacco. It's balanced and has flavours of raspberry, raisin, black pepper and tobacco with a medium/full body. Round texture with a long finish.

May 15, 2011 - Classic sangiovese - a big surprise coming from California! Very fruit forward but still with plenty of structure for balance.

March 11, 2011 - Nice dark ruby/brick color. Sweet, jammy aroma of strawberry with a whiff of savory herbs. Intriguing. Medium sweet entry of tart cherry & cooked strawberry with a metallic tinge that flows into a nice acidic finish. Slightly tired, but displaying lovely, sweet fruit.

February 13, 2010 - I'm not a big fan of Sangioveses but I must admit this drank well. I would imagine if you blended the classic old world sangioveses with new world Napa grapes and the tendency for less minerality and more fruit... then I guess you'd end up with this wine.

November 21, 2009 - Nice nose. Some red fruits and spice. Good tannin on the palate with some spice, perhaps cinnamon?

(Luna Napa Sangiovese) VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-dark; NOSE-Oak Monster is here; lots of fruit; heavy plum; very Aussie-like nose; TASTE-I don't like this wine at all; over-oaked; over-extracted; cherry-rhubarb jam; globs of Oak & fruit; some might like as it is fruity, but so basic; just not my style; GV-79
