Community Tasting Notes 1

  • The Drunken Cyclist Likes this wine: 88 points

April 21, 2020 - Retail $16. 60% Greco, 40% Malvasia, with smaller amounts allowed of Fiano and Bianco di Alessano. Vineyards organic since 2013. The website claims that this is one of Italy's oldest wines, produced since the 6th Century, B.C. (!). Today, only Botromagno makes the wine. A bit golden in the glass with guava, banana, and other tropical notes. The palate is on the round side with juicy fruit, a slight tang, and a fruity finish. No, this wine will not cause you to contemplate what life was like almost 3000 years ago, but you will likely want another glass or three with your Kung Pao chicken. thedrunkencyclist.com
