May 28, 2023 - Al naso media e gradevole consistenza di profumi di frutti a bacca rossa e floreali, accenno speziato. Al palato buona struttura, ottimo equilibrio. Tannini di qualità ed acidità ben dosata. Caldo e secco. Leggera sapidità, fruttato, elegante e consistente. Ben amalgamati i sentori di pelle e tabacco, appena percettibili. Giusta persistenza. Ottimo nebbiolo.

January 31, 2021 - Delicious- very structured for an LN. Black raspberries, tar, tannins very very prominent. Slightly chewy with a long savoury finish. Interested in the process here- feels like it’s spent time in big oak barrels- colour deeper than I expect from an LN and the structure for me is more like a young Barolo without quite all the complexity.
Tart cranberries note on the hour- even with air the tannins don’t subside at this stage.
Tannins remained strident until the “capriflocon” melty goats cheese from Switzerland (after the game pie) enveloped the tannins like a soft chamois leather glove and rendered the wine slightly sweeter and ever so much more malleable.
Lovely but needs time to really shine- I normally think of Langhe Nebbiolo as an early drinker (GD Vajra, E Pira & figli, Massolino 2017s all are) but this hasn’t entered its ideal drinking window yet IMO. Great potential.
