September 4, 2020 - Purple to deep ruby, nose of ripe black fruit, oak, baked fruit. Palate is med high acid, feels high alcohol though only 13.5, notes of ripe black cherry, black currant, baked fruit comes through, a hint of the green bell pepper? Maybe? Still a young one. Let's see where this goes in 3 years.

May 22, 2020 - Cedary red currant and wild blackberry aromas alongside a good amount of black olive, white pepper, and dried juniper as well as some cabbage and bell pepper. Mid weight with quite lean, tart fruit on the palate. Different, even a bit underripe, yet with nicely textured tannins and a clean finish. Indigenous yeast and aging in used barrels for a year. 1,000 cases made.

May 16, 2020 - The wine looks ruby colored. It smells like prune, black cherry, black currant, stoniness and bell pepper. At first tastes hot and tight - lots of black cherry, a hint of black currant, some stoniness, and plenty of oak with a full body is full. It finishes long with medium acidity. The first taste on the tongue was delightful but the follow through isn't there yet. Seems like it has lots to say but isn't ready to say it yet. Curious what this will taste like in 2 hours and 2-5 years. (- a little more fruit came out after a few hours.)

January 19, 2020 - From a vineyard planted in 1945, this stellar South American cab is loaded with the right stuff. Purchased on Last Bottle for $16.42 delivered to my doorstep, it drinks like many times more with solid black cherry and tobacco notes and plenty of tannic backbone. Recommend a minimum four hour decant.

December 3, 2019 - Very young and would reward a longer rest, but this has balanced cabernet fruit (possibly young vines) with medium+ body and a nice finish. Gains weight with air. Def above average for the low price.
