August 22, 2023 - Has concentrated since last bottle. Darker color and richer nose of black cherry and stewed fruit. Even more sediment apparent. Still a light finish though.

February 23, 2022 - Another amazing buy from Chile. Wish I'd bought a few cases for House Wine. Excellent dark cherry and blackberry fruit, good depth, both rich and juicy, closer to California than Washington if you want a domestic comparison, with complex herb, spice and cedar. Only 13.5% abv.

April 15, 2021 - opened bottle about 3 hours ahead and let it breathe someā€¦

deep dark garnet with purple tones in the glass, beautiful to look at and swirl. very rich nose, with an initial attack of dark cherries, black currants and dark berries, but enriched with wafts of menthol, tobacco, black olives and even lavender. full feeling in the mouth (though only 13.5%!), the solid tannins balanced by a fresh juicyness in the flavours of black fruit and herb. long, pleaseant finish; the fruity and herbal notes going on for a long time.

a bit rounder and fuller on day two, and was still going strong when finished on day four.

September 4, 2020 - Purple to deep ruby, nose of ripe black fruit, oak, baked fruit. Palate is med high acid, feels high alcohol though only 13.5, notes of ripe black cherry, black currant, baked fruit comes through, a hint of the green bell pepper? Maybe? Still a young one. Let's see where this goes in 3 years.

May 22, 2020 - Cedary red currant and wild blackberry aromas alongside a good amount of black olive, white pepper, and dried juniper as well as some cabbage and bell pepper. Mid weight with quite lean, tart fruit on the palate. Different, even a bit underripe, yet with nicely textured tannins and a clean finish. Indigenous yeast and aging in used barrels for a year. 1,000 cases made.
