June 18, 2006 - Cork broke - although we were very careful! Strained into decanter. Aromas of smoke or char and plum. Tasted after 30 minutes. BIG red fruit up front, a little hot - then tannins on mid palate. Surprising for wine this old. Waited another 45 minutes. Mellowed nicely. Waited too long however. If you still have this, drink it!
