July 3, 2023 - Red cherry, cedar, lots of minerality in the nose, mint, sesame leaf, citrus aromas. On the palate, lots of sour red cherry. Elegant and quite closed but can still pick up sweet cherry and raspberry through the palate with iron and minerals on the finish. Beautifully balanced overall with ripe core of ample fruit and velvety tannins. Drank on 2nd day with marked improvement.

January 7, 2022 - Restaurant purchase. Popped and poured at table. Astoundingly fresh and open with a charming potpourri of red berries: strawberry, raspberry, plum, sour cherry, holunder, pomegranate. On the nose roses, menthol, herbs de Provence, iron, and sloe berry. All of this wrapped in a structure of very fine, silky tannins. Very elegant, Burgundy-esue for a Garblet-Sue (whose grapes tend toward a more raw style) and still open and inviting in this first seductive phase.

March 11, 2021 - This is a beautiful young Barolo with excellent depth of dark fruits and hints of tobacco and menthol minerals. The texture is very finely-grained with succulent acidity and the finish is taut and refined with smooth, well-judged tannins and an intense crunchy complexity with notes of dark roses and cherry bark. Very well-balanced for mid-term aging. 92+

March 6, 2021 - Aerated in decanter one hour. Alex and his team have done an exception job with this bottling. Already possesses great complexity on the nose, with bright cherry, some rose, forest, soil/place notes, etc. The very elegant med-full palate is a wonderful complement to the exotic nose that even offers some citrus and black truffle. Brilliant, and will live for several decades. highly recommended
