November 13, 2021 - Good, more savoury than a fruit bomb, v good qpr, quite serious

January 25, 2021 - Inviting nose of raspberry and rose hips with a sweet palate of raspberry juice and some sour cranberry flavours. A good wine with lots sweet fruit personality.

November 8, 2020 - A new entry-level venture for this long established Wairarapa producer, and in this vintage a stunning value! The nose is beguiling, with its aromas of sweet strawberries, cloves, incense,a mushroomy earthiness, lovely fresh rose petals, Turkish Delight- all the delicate and heady scents of Volnay and Chambolle! The 13.5% shows in the pronounced legs in the glass, and there is medium-plus acidity and medium tannins,on the palate there is a rather thin flavour is of slightly sour cherries. A life of perhaps 5 years , but why not drink it now ? Deliciously drinkable - the nose alone is worth the modest price ( £13.50 - $US18.00)!

August 17, 2020 - Delicious easy going Pinot with toasted oak and strawberry notes. No rough edges here, great sweet fruit, mouthwatering acidity and savoury bitterness balance. Really well put together and great with food. 89

April 14, 2020 - Typical Martinborugh style, beautiful powdery tannins, gentle and broad Pinot fruit.
