May 6, 2021 - Reduced nose. That fades mostly. This was something like a darker fruited Langhe. There is strong acidity and tannin behind a fresh fruited yet focused wine. A nice example of a more basic wine that Europe has done forever that makes for a great dinner companion. It can age but doesn't need it and won't likely get any better. Just carry along while the fruit fades. That said this might benefit from another year in bottle given the reduced elevage. Very nice value. It's tough to get this sort of 'complete' wine from CA at this price.
