August 6, 2022 - Light crimson-pink in appearance, first on the nose are cherry and strawberry, but there's much more going on: spice, mint and sweet garden flowers.
There are more cherries when you taste it; I didn't get the white pepper that other people have noted; but there's a palate of ripe red berries which is absolutely irresistible.
In comparison with other thinner South African Pinot Noir wines, this is quite a fleshy? muscular? Pinot. After three years the aromatic elements are perfectly, elegantly balanced (to my palate, anyway) against the smooth tannins. A delight to discover; a comparatively new name to keep an eye on.
