  September 14, 2021 - A new wine for me
  
  Light golden with hints of green. Citrus pith, rocks, florals, and subtle wood on the nose. Tight on the palate, it eventually opens some with air time, but overall still pretty tightly coiled. It's stony and soil driven, midweighted yet structured enough to be a bit toothsome. Plenty of dry extract balanced nicely against its firm acidic spine. This has intensity without weight. Lovely balance with a soil and and floral driven finish. A rock head's chardonnay. Quite long on the back end. This grows in intensity without losing any focus over the evening. I wish I had another bottle or three to watch develop as I think this has quite a bit of potential. 91+

  March 23, 2020 - Nicol who tasted this blind sad this for sure is not chardonnay... And indeed its as if they tried to make the most non chardonnay chardonnay wine. Should we had this blind and told this is south Africa we would have said this is a blend of palomino and chenin blanc. Its quite aromatic , floral and with a firm core. No oak feel here, no buttery fat or oily side. Pure clean floral and with stone fruits. But also doesn't really work well at this age at least. felt a bit not together as if its many wines in the same glass. Interesting but no more than an 88 from us.
