Community Tasting Notes 5

June 10, 2023 - While not fully corked as such, the growing acidic taste and lack of flowering of the fruit suggested that this was going nowhere. A pity.

September 23, 2022 - Decanted. Very little sediment. Typical burgundy appearance with no hint of age. Sweet vanilla aroma. Wife thought it had aroma if coffee and caramel. Sweet plum with hints of vanilla. After being decanted for 2 hours list some of it’s intensity.

June 9, 2013 - Drunk along side an '07 Magnien Gevrey Chambertin, it was the Lignier that was a bit more dense and unyielding. It did improve over the course of the evening, flaunting its potential with a powerful finish, but the acidity is a little high for me at this stage. Hold 3-5+ years, probably best near 2020.

November 28, 2010 - Not sure yet. It is a 2005 and the nose is undeniably that seductive bright red fruit, raspberry led, pinot that provides the allure. And the wine after decanting ( I rarely decant burgundy) was of middle weight with some hints of mixed red fruits and a cassis tone. Bu tmost of the bottle was very reserved and did not yield a great deal of flavor. So Iam hoping that this lesser fine Burgundy , given its chilesed style of vintage points, will develop more into a broader palate of Lignier carefully chiseled fruit
