July 28, 2023 - Expressive nose with white blossom, orchard fruit, and lemon together with rubber and wet stone accents. Zippy and vibrant on the palate with a burst of pure, fresh lime zest. Long, mouthwatering finish. Drink now or hold.
Far more open and even more expressive the next day so worth waiting or giving osme air!
WSET Notes:
Pale lemon.
Pronounced on the nose with lemon, white blossoms, green apple, pear, wet stone and rubber. Youthful.
Pronounced and dry on the palate with lime zest coming through. Medium minus body, medium alcohol, high acidity, long finish.
Can drink now but has potential for aging. -

February 14, 2021 - Bright. Floral, peach and pineapple on the nose. Well balanced on the palate, good bite, stone fruit and citrus notes with hints of salinity. Just a touch of kerosene. Long sweet finish.

February 7, 2021 - A decent lime-flavoured Riesling with some nice florals. The label says you can cellar it for 'up to 30 years'. Given how up-and-centre the fruit is, I put this at somewhere between wild overconfidence to grotesque misrepresentation. But who knows? Still, I don't think a lot of 'The Florita' is sitting in chalk caves awaiting 2050.
