September 14, 2022 - Light cola in color. Sweet strawberries, basil, and cedar on the nose. Light bodied, dry, very structured, and a kick of lumberyard dust. Woody and stemmy palate of cedar, strawberry, raspberry, a bit of citrus zest and rind. Grippy mouthcoating tannins. Long spicy and earthy finish. On occasion, orange zest and oil shine though on the finish. The overall mouthfeel is a bit rough and assertive.
This is a good wine, but I am not a fan of this right now. Has the stuffing to age, and maybe that is when it will shine. It’s a bit rough and disjointed to me at the current stage.1 person found this helpful Comment -
