Community Tasting Notes 10

September 6, 2023 - Rich citrus aromatics. Medium weight, round, sweet tangerine, lower acidity, and lots of stone (the latter its strongest point). Rich and fuzzy around the edges.

October 14, 2022 - The nose was fairly shy. Some notes of pepper and lemon. Tasting revealed notes of lemon, peach, minerals and white pepper combined with a clear acidity and residual sugar. A hint of bitterness towards the end. More one-dimensional than its sibling from Wehlener Sonnenuhr from the same year and with rougher edges. Prefer the WS to this due to the rounder taste and better balance. Served to a standard sushi.

1/3 of the bottle saved for two days in the fridge. Very interesting development. Slightly less acidity, but the taste was more multi-dimensional with lots of tropical fruit. Pineapple, mango and sweet clementine. A touch of petroleum was more obvious even though it wasn’t very strong. Worth one more point. 91.

December 22, 2021 - Stor och koncentrerad doft. Torkad melon, torkad persika, lite petroleum/plast. Päron.
Fet och koncentrerad i munnen. Härlig restsötma som balanserar perfekt med syran, som ligger kvar på tungan på ett mycket trevligt sätt. Saffran i mellanpaletten. Lång eftersmak.

November 29, 2021 - Plenty of tropical fruit and spice on the nose. Body added an oily texture with a medium feel. Finish is medium with some white pepper. Vibrant acid carries the fairly high RS. Chosen to pair with cornish hen with wild rice, cranberry and apple stuffing and did very well to compliment the dish. To just drink the RS was a touch overbearing at this age.

November 15, 2021 - Nose a bit closed, green leaves... Taste of yellow apple, nice mineral, a bit more sweet than the kabinett, hint of leaves.
