  June 26, 2020 - On opening this was horribly reductive - swampy, burnt rubber, really nasty stuff. After some vigorous aeration and an hour's decant we have something much more palatable. Berry-green nose, some slightly harsh woody notes. Rippingly high acidity for a Cabernet Sauvignon, medium fine-grained tannin, alcohol in check, a bit too astringent. This is a pretty awkward wine, nowhere near the body or prettiness to match the acidity. Likely not the best bottle, to be fair, but even beyond that it just doesn't taste that good, perhaps from uneven fruit and excessively remediative winemaking? I will give this bottle the benefit of the doubt and call it flawed.

  November 8, 2019 - Smooth. Ready to drink. Black currant. Subtle tannins. Improves with time to breathe. Actually, a rare find at this price point.
