March 4, 2017 - Took a while to open up but when it did it was awesome. Aromatic, complex, and powerful. Mouth filling fruit with earth, dill, and espresso notes (if memory serves). Better the second day/towards the end of the bottle.

December 5, 2015 - It's been about four years since I had one of these. This was once in my wheelhouse, yet a little too lean for Ann. This time, Ann loved it and I thought there was just a bit too much glycerin and sweet ripe fruit. Accents of leather, chocolate, charred earth and faint licorice. Moderate acidity, and a little fine tannin. Held up well on day two, showing just a bit softer. Overall a nice wine but on the edge for me in terms of style. If I had another bottle, I might wait a couple years to see if more tertiary flavors develop.

October 24, 2012 - Interesting wine. Drank over 3 days, best on day 3. Popped and poured, completely tannic and shut down Day 1, fruit began to develop day 2 to balance the tannins and earthiness, Day 3 fully opened up to reveal lusicous full bodied toothstaining velvety dark fruits. This wine needs a serious decant, or slow ox for at least 24hrs. Very pleased how it came around, sad it was my last one.

February 15, 2012 - Loamy and rock/soil nose. Grainy chewy tannins leave you somewhat parched but surprisingly this wine still has quite a bit of aging potential. If you are looking for a new world fruit forward wine this is not for you. Ultimately, this is not a real relaxing wine to sit around sip without food.

October 19, 2011 - This one took a little time and coaxing to come out of it's shell. Cherry fruit with a little smoke and chocolate. As z Willis d said, this wine was sleek and medium bodied. Not a wine that will grab your attention on its own but a wine that shows nicely when you stop and give it a little attention. The finish is pretty long and fresh. This wine shows better wih food such as chicken or pork rather than a big steak. I liked it but Ann was underwhelmed.
