August 25, 2021 - A fairly deep colour; ripe, berry fruit, slightly spicy and characterful. One of the better “Finest” wines which has improved over the last year and may develop further.

July 11, 2021 - Light but attractive, with soft cherry fruit; a good example which I have stored for a year since purchase and which is now drinking well. One of the better “Tesco Finest” wines.

    November 8, 2020 - Tesco £9.00 November 2020

    Decanted for 5 hrs

    AC Languedoc-Roussillon

BLB (Back Label Boll*cks)....''Full bodied with black fruit and savoury spice flavours including Garrigue, the fragrant SW French bush, and smokey notes...''

Reasonable - but not great - value for money wine with a bit of charm; a decent enough quaffer with a touch of complexity, though for me it too had a tad warm alc' and weird chemical impression.

Ready now, drink up, though at £9.00 it's probably not the biggest risk in the world to cellar, is it? I'd say until 2024 at most.

N....rich ripe black/red fruit, some tar, some spice. No more complex than that.

T....inky, tannins, fruit, acid all here; some power, a tad savoury, but none of their back label SW France ''wild bush'' for me. Smooth texture. Rounded. Ends off-dry. Would have marked it higher if the alc' wasn't slightly too warm/out of balance. There's a slight chemical character - I could taste it but I couldn't identify it.

VFM?....feels like £10.00, costs £9.00. I won't be buying this 2018 again, I've previously had better vintages of this wine.
