January 3, 2020 - Decided to finish my last two bottles and was glad I did. Similar floral/black fruit nose with a relatively linear echo on the palate. Subtle hints of blood/iron in these bottles, but not oozing with complexity. Tannins are integrated, so the texture is rather pleasant. With 15% Viognier, I wonder if these were meant to be more fragrant and youthful. It's been a nice few years with them nonetheless.

October 28, 2019 - These seem a bit stuck and I fear the desired tertiary notes (for me at least) will not emerge without significant downside development elsewhere. Alas, still a lovely glass of wine after a two hour decant. Very much that floral tinged briary fruit with just the faintest sous bois and dried blood notes in the background. Structure is holding up nicely. I didn't realise this had 15% Viognier, which seems like a pretty substantial contribution and perhaps leads to the more delicate profile of this wine.

May 30, 2019 - Belle concentration de fruit mais le vin reste serré malgré l'aération et offre un plaisir restreint.

February 17, 2019 - Four years later and this hasn't evolved as much as I expected. Fruit is still very bright, perhaps a bit more briary. Similar violet floral note, though the pepper was a bit more muted and the tertiary notes are not in greta evidence. Quite closed when we opened it, it was lovely after a 2 hour decant, though the fruit was almost juicy at this point. Started to fade around 1.5 hours later. Structure is there, good acidity and the tannins are still quite grippy. I agree that this lacks polish, but that doesn't detract from a very enjoyable glass of wine. Perhaps pairs a bit differently than you would expect at this point.

August 4, 2018 - I was worried the vintage may have been too hot for my tastes but no, this producer still nailed it. Funky and a little bit of hay, and so much black pepper, but a pretty feminine streak of violets and lavender. On the wild side of CR, not polished, but not apologizing either, and all the better for it. Drinking well now.
