April 26, 2013 - A very pleasant surprise. Still alive and got better with air for at least an hour. Clearly approaching it's last stages of life, but not over the hill at all. Gorgeous brownish/red tinge for color, burnt orange peels and roses on the nose. Very good finish.

October 13, 2012 - Excellent condition, very red for it's age. Autumn leaves and rust, ripe raspberries. Very refreshing with bracing acid. Obviously fully mature but no signs of fading, will probably drink well for a long time to come. Could have had more concentration though.

September 10, 2011 - Mature Burgundy at David's (David Paris's place): Corked. So sad. David said a bottle of this he'd had in the recent past was singing.

September 10, 2011 - Ten great mature Burgundies, from a couple '96 Leroy GCs to a '61 Musigny (My House (Portland, OR)): After the beautiful bottle I opened of this two years ago, this was sadly a great disappointment. Some thought this was corked, but it didn't come across as that for me... but referencing my long note from January 2010 of this wine (identical bottle source), this was definitely DOA compared to that beauty. I found the palate actually mildly pleasing and freshly acidic, but there was a metallic notion and harshness on the finish, coupled with a nose that didn't show ANY of the beautiful fruit and soft earthiness the previous bottle had. In fact the nose was pretty non-descript. Dumped it.

March 26, 2011 - Past it's prime, but still drinking well and some fruit left. Quite a treat...
