September 4, 2021 - Epic Bordeaux for an Epic Birthday!; 9/1/2021-9/12/2021 (Paris & Bordeaux): My WOTN. This was straight ex-Chateau (no label even) which just goes to show how the wines that have sat quietly with no vibrations and travel can pretty much love forever. Perhaps a greener vintage and for some that was less positive but for me it made the wine even a bit more interesting. There is still fruit. And a wonderful acidity. It’s a beautiful wine and worthy of an extended contemplation. I suspect it will be a candidate for WOTT (wine of the trip) for me.
