January 6, 2024 - Always a big fan of Guiberteau and this was once again great! Beautiful. Medium intensity with elderflower, oak, ripe lemon, minerality, some flint, sandy, earthy. High acidity, (very) long finish. Great mouthfeel, slightly oily. 93-94

    Big but not heavy

June 3, 2023 - Tasted blind. Very chalky, very much terroir dominated, hard to discern even the grape variety, intense and energetic, impressive yet enigmatic. At Café Parlotte, Amsterdam, NL.

September 15, 2022 - Out of a range of 15 wines tasting that day, I just remember that this was the most appreciated wine. Complex, multi-layered Chenin, did not show any tiredness from what could have been a very warm vintage, finesse, elegance, just blooming. The wine was still able to show some potential of evolution, but would not keep that bottle more than 10 years as it was a perfect moment to drink it.

June 5, 2022 - Post MW Bordeaux Tasting: Honey, spice, orange and wax notes on the nose. Bright on the palate - fresh and rich at the same time with the ripe fruit playing well with a high acid line. Very clean profile here.

February 27, 2022 - Waxy yellow. Glorious texture from both the grape and wood. Vanilla, soil, great acidity, an almost distilled essence quality, and a ton of citrus rather than pear. Last tasted 3 years ago, and it hasn’t moved much since. Profound wine.
