  April 17, 2010 - not as bold and full as i remember it. i do really like the nose. lots of freshly crushed currants, plums, some smoke and bell pepper. well-structured, lots of dark fruit on the palate along with some black pepper, earth and iron flavors. some incense on the finish. still good, but probably time to drink up. i think it'll just lose it's fruit with more time and then it'll be left too vegetal.

  August 11, 2007 - 14.% alc, but it's not offensive at all, very integrated. this spent 14 months in french and american oak. dark ruby color, lots and lots of spicy plum and cherry notes on the nose. rich body with spicy black cherry, coffee, pepper and leather. this is a great deal.
