Community Tasting Notes 3

September 24, 2010 - Southern Rhone WIMPS (The Ledbury, London): Very muscat on the nose. Quite frsh, grapey, some sweetness but not overly so. Probably more of an aperitif than pudding wine. I wonder whether this might have been brighter in its relative youth? Perfectly decent. **1/2

September 19, 2008 - Powerfully floral nose of marjoram, continues on to the palate, with pine. Nice balance of sweet (again floral, nectar) and acid, good complexity and the finish lasts. Nice combo with grilled figs and a blue-veined cheese, would also be spectacular with late-summer fruits. Beaumes-de-Venise is usually good young, and this is no exception, I'd drink it now.

April 20, 2007 - Makes gewurztraminer seem staid. Incredible aromas of flowers and fruit. Spectacular.
