November 4, 2022 - Full bodied and bold. Intense black fruits, violets, chocolate and hints of vanilla and strawberry. Pure and elegant. Wine was still youthful with high oak tannins, med-high acidity and high alcohol. Tasted like New World Meritage due to its power and alcohol level. This wine would require a few more years before ready.

July 10, 2022 - Dark hues with hints of purple if you squint hard enough, with blackfruit and plenty of oak and vanilla on the palate too. This needs at least 2 more years to properly round its tannins, otherwise do a proper decant.
By the time I woke up from my noon nap, the Alion pretty much gone!
