May 19, 2020 - Very good. Punches way above its weight. Seems ageless.
    Colour: blackberries
Bouquet: very fresh ripe and vibrant shiraz fruit - red berries, spice, raspberry
Palate: as bouquet, big bodied, bit of a fruit bomb, black pepper and fruits and olives. Long clean finish.

August 6, 2019 - Excellent and still surpassing expectations as an entry level wine. Very similar comments to previously. French and American oak.
    Colour: dense black berries
Bouquet: black fruits, spice, smokey raspberry, white pepper and a touch of vanilla
Palate: quite fresh fruit still, blackberry, black olives, black cherries, spices. Full bodied now with age, fruit and tannin in more balance now, Substantial soft tannins, a little harsh. Still fresh character.

May 16, 2018 - Excellent, 13.5% alc. Really surpasses expectations at this age for an entry level wine.
    Colour: black berries
Bouquet: black fruits, spice, white pepper and a touch of vanilla
Palate: quite fresh fruit still, blackberry, black olives, black cherries, spices. Medium bodied, more fruit than tannin influence, soft tannins but oak is relatively light on for Penfolds. Nice berry mouthfeel, and still fresh character.

December 26, 2017 - Really tasty selection from Penfolds - enjoyed at Christmas dinner

December 10, 2017 - Perhaps a ut plenty of too bright and lively for a serious note or wine, but great value especially with this maturity. Great fruit little tannin, plenty of life and score may rise.....
