November 12, 2023 - Earthy nose with a hint of cherry. Very jammy with slight cherry.

February 27, 2022 - I loved this wine. I wouldn't say much more beyond what the last reviewer wrote (I mean he COVERED the bases - is there a flavor he could have possibly missed?!) except that on day two it was even better (so yeah, while it drinks extremely nicely right now, give it a few more years and who knows...). Well done Cristom.

January 9, 2022 - Cristom Vertical (Eola Amity Hills AVA): 54% whole clusters and aged 18 months in 64% new French oak. From vines planted in 2014. Dijon (777, 115) and Pommard.
Moderate aromas in the glass with notes of dark cherry, pomegranate, and a hint of red apple skin with notes of tea, volcanic and scorched earth, smoke, spent coffee grounds, dried rose, sea mist and hits of bramble, spice and underbrush.
The palate shows a darker streak of fruit with plum skin, black currant and dark cherry notes that come with earthy undertones, dried rose petals, black tea, walnut bitters, underbrush, smoke and minerals and hints of pepper spice. A little tight right now even with the airtime given. Tannins are above moderate and gritty while the acidity is juicy and provides contrast against the tannins. The wine finishes moderately.
The wine will perhaps be better with a little more bottle time, that being said I don't sense a big jump in improvement.

September 25, 2021 - From 375: Cristom drinks well young, but this wine would be better with a little bottle age. The Paul Gerrie Vineyard wine is a new effort from my favorite new world producer of Pinot Noir. Still a little tannic, and with a slightly hot finish, this wine possesses beautiful fruit. Lags behind the four ladies, and probably exceeds the Mt. Jefferson Cuvee in quality.

December 25, 2020 - Still a bit young but lots of potential for aging. Nice friluit and tannins.
