February 1, 2024 - I have little to add to Frank's note from 1/30/24 in the way of descriptors. This has a unique expression that is surprising and fun. I still feel that the fruit extract and zingy acidity are pulling in different directions rather than working harmoniously though. It's not disjointed, just not entirely melded together yet. Still, very nice wine.

January 30, 2024 - Champagne Bookclub (served blind)--Me (My House): February 2019 disgorgement. 50% Pinot Noir (from the Maison Rouge parcel) and 50% Chardonnay (from the Chemins d' Epernay parcel). 3.5 gms dosage, Damn this is in a good place. Tasted over 6 hrs. Caramel aromatic, terrific concentration and density of sweet pear, golden apple, orange and a jazzy cran/raspberry mix. Finishes with golden apple and mango. Seductive yet bright. Later in the evening, and I liked Viet's comment about the red apple skin, we find that note plus more concentration of the yellow apple and now some wet stones comes through. Love the caramel in this and overall the wine's freshness. I still have one bottle of this left, gonna save it and enjoy it overt the next few years.

February 4, 2022 - Needed some air to open up. 50/50 PN/CH, but showing the Pinot more to me, with red apple, white chocolate/hazelnut (from the barrel fermentation?), and a great intense earthy character. The grapefruity acidity is a little disjointed at the moment though. If the acidity integrates with time, I would like this even better.

December 26, 2021 - Good minerals, fresh acidity and a good length.

November 27, 2021 - A very good bottle of champagne. Seems to be lower pressure/more vinous. Gorgeous ripe pinot flavors and a great clean crisp finish.
