December 4, 2022 - Deep and dark in the glass. Looks viscous. Nose: dark fruit, cedar, sugar plum and sage.

Palate: cassis, tannin forward, juniper berry, clove. Lovely mouthfeel really enjoyed this.

December 10, 2021 - Great QPR. This bottle was still a bit young with earthy tannins still trying to figure out their place in life, raw fruits, minerals and spice. Can't wait to open another bottle in a few years time.

August 9, 2021 - Red berries, sour cherries, flowers, minerals and leather. High acidity and good complexity. Really nice to drink and an incredible qpr.

April 9, 2021 - Dark blackish red. Wonderful unfiltered wine with a good genius de loci. Complex and mouthfilling. Pefecf with most gnocchi/pasta dishes and/or grillad salsicchia.

    December 29, 2020 - The Wine:
The color was closest to purple. The wine offered multiple aromatics and flavors all of which were interesting and pleasing, complex and long. There were no off smells or tastes. It offered decent weight and really good depth. Highly recommended and given the price it's an outstanding wine.

    Overall Impression:
This is the third vintage of "Gricos" that I've had and this was the best. All the Grifalco wines are wonderful expressions of Agliancio and they are quickly becoming my favorite house in Basilicata. I find that I often prefer them to their cousins in Campania as well.
