January 11, 2012 - Inky and almost glass-staining; black fruit at first and plum and pomegranate on the finish. Delightful! Looking forward to my last bottle!

June 21, 2009 - With 5 years in bottle, this one's still a monster. Disgorged, and tasted like tobacco juice right out of the bottle. Gave it about 3 hours and it's showing black fruit, loads of black and white pepper, and some leather. Tomorrow may tell a new story. This could be a zin for 7-10 years of bottle age, but as this is the last bottle, we'll never know.

December 13, 2008 - Shows nicely now, with some bottle age the initial harsh edge has softened and balance is the order of the day. Nice integration of acid, tannin and classy fruit. Glad we reserved a bottle of this very enjoyable effort from one of Tom's favorite vineyards.
