  April 30, 2023 - dark and slightly opaque. very pretty bouquet, almost sweet, with ripe cassis up front, oak, a prominent dusty note with florals and mint in behind. palate is full, round, and silky in texture. it’s rich and fruity but there’s a pinch of acidity to keep it fresh. recommend getting into this now and serve it on the cooler side.

  March 19, 2021 - 90-91... Either it still has to develop (I let it breathe for a few hours), or I don't get it. Nose still shy, good mouth, some complexity, contained finish. Not worth the price for my taste.

  February 27, 2021 - Bold, dry with spicy first notes, followed by a wonderful lingering long finish. A very interesting Chilean red. Thanks RL for the chance to try this, day after Chap Goh Mei!

  August 28, 2020 - Medium deep ruby color. Elegant Bordeaux-style nose with mushrooms. Dry, high acidity, high tannins, taste of ripe cherry, blackcurrant, cedar, mushroom. Powerful body and long tart finish (guess 100% cab). 91 (Rank 4). GUESS Chile 08/ RESULT Chile Montes Alpha 2017 (Rank 4).
