December 11, 2022 - Lunch with friends at home (Elgin South Africa): Low shoulder height, the nose displays a gorgeous perfume of white flowers, lime leaf and lemons that open to honeysuckle and peach. An intense and showing surprising youth!
The entry is linear with strident acidity that runs horizontally through the wine. Flavours of white flowers, orchard blossom, crisp apple and Meyer lemon. The wine lacks a bit of depth and falls away relatively quickly but, given the age and condition, was pretty smart.

    August 8, 2022 - Mid golden straw.
Quite a scented, perfumed nose, with riesling wet paving slabs, lime and ripe peach.
Nice and fresh still. Lovely palate. There's a nice weight, starting to feel almost creamy. No noticeable sweetness, but not at all agressively dry, just lovely balance.
Not the most complex Alsace riesling, but lovely drinking.

This was over the hill IMO. Lots of good components but oxidised and falling apart.
    Sticky loved it though

A proper wine. Either at its peak or past it depending on your taste. i think the palatte is thinning out. Drink up.
