March 31, 2024 - Massive in style, the 15.3% brings both a certain volatility to the nose and heat to the back palate that gives an almost explosive nature to the wine. It is really delicious, with intense fruit quality and huge mouth feel. There is a lot of oak, but it does feel well integrated into the texture. Served blind, I’m not confident I would suggest Pinot, although there are certainly varietal characteristics - it is certainly out of the mainstream of Pinot. However, it is fancy wine! It is impeccably made, and offers a sense of intensity and structure that is uncommon. It’s fun and hedonistic, pure and open for business in a Californian Cabernet , almost cult style. I could see scores being all over the place for this one, so I’ll pick a middle ground! (86-92)

March 22, 2021 - Very good pinot though different than my recollection from the winery and previous note. Still liked it but showed more fruit forward with a nice nose and more medium bodied mid pallette. Pleasant acid but on the leaner side. Moderate complexity and moderate finish. Very easy drinking overall with lots to like.
