November 9, 2022 - Prior bottle was only 6 months ago, but this wine has improved and merits a slightly higher score. Nose continues to show cherry, spices, earth and mineral notes, but there is a bit of black cherry now to go along with the red. Still between light and medium bodied with red cherry upfront, but then a bit more depth through the middle than prior bottles showed. In addition to a bit more depth, the fruit notes were slightly more expressive. Backside shows lightly tart red cherry, stronger mineral notes than it showed previously and acidity and fine grained tannins that are better integrated with the mid-body fruit than previously. The combination of increased depth through the middle coupled with slightly better fruit expression and structural integration benefited the wine overall noticeably. Drink this wine over the next year to enjoy it at this level.

May 22, 2022 - Prior bottle was 10 moths ago and my notes remained generally consistent. Red cherry, spices, earth and mineral notes on the nose. Close to medium bodied with red cherry upfront, adding spices, tart cherry and some lingering mineral qualities towards the back. Perhaps slightly more open and a bit more integrated than previously. Overall, this remains a fun little wine meant for near term consumption. It might not have the complexity or depth to improve long term, but what it does, it does well and remains in an enjoyable spot. I'll probably open my next bottle in the next 6 months.

December 20, 2021 - Nice, lighter touch wine, friendly black berry, red fruit, cherry, bit of earth and mineral, spice, nice acidity and balance. At first its all about the fruit, but there is more to it, and that keeps this easy drinking wine interesting. Good with food or on its own.

July 9, 2021 - Mostly just what RGCM said, perfect notes on a very nice expression, not serious but quite enjoyable before and with dinner, upped it a point as I thought it opened up over dinner and got a bit more depth to it. That said it is enjoyable for its freshness not weight. Very much a little sibling to the Vigne Vecchie, but stylistically a chip off the block seemed to me.

July 6, 2021 - Red cherry, earth, light spices and mineral notes on the nose. Nearly medium bodied (12.5% ABV) with red cherry upfront with a little touch of brightness and liveliness. Mid-body showed as soft and open with good fruit expression, but not significant complexity or depth. Backside has tart red cherry, earth, spices and mineral notes. Overall, a fairly straight forward introduction to Etna wines that's balanced and quite drinkable, but doesn't really stand out in any significant was. Showing its best now and should drink well over the next two years. Next bottle for me will be late Fall 2021.
