April 10, 2020 - Medium garnet colour. Classic profile of red fruit, rose water/marzipan, iodine, spices, tobacco, black tea leaves and mild balsamic notes, with good acidity, partly resolved tannin and good length of the ethereal and dry finish. Medium-bodied and fairly balanced. At peak, but should continue to drink at that level for a number of years.

August 12, 2017 - Allowed to breathe in glass one hour. Clear medium ruby-blood red color. Lovely bouquet of red cherries, cranberries, pomegranate, leather, roses, asphalt, coffee, stony red soil, hints of toffee and cardamom. Similar on the palate, pleasantly tart and tannic, balanced, full body, lingering finish. Improved with air, and held up fine under vacuum stopper in refrigerator for four days.

September 29, 2015 - Solid Barolo, with dried fruits and spice, good depth and balance, fine dusty tannins. Enturing maturity, I think this still could get better with time.

December 26, 2014 - Only decanted prior to serving. Maybe not a fair test
