Community Tasting Notes 10

January 5, 2024 - Popped and poured. Crisp pear aroma with a hint of butter. Pure flavors of pears, lichee and minerals. Citrus notes in the finish. Fresh, lithe, lively, firm backbone, some complexity. Delightful, and probably has years ahead of it.

February 16, 2023 - This is a Goldilocks wine for me. While some wines can be too lean, or too fat, or too oaky, or too...well you get the gist, this wine is just right. Everything is well balanced and delicious. This is my favorite Briceland white that I've ever had the pleasure of drinking, and in my top 3 Briceland wines of all time.

June 14, 2022 - Dead ringer for Coteaux Champenois.

Medium gold color. When I first tasted this I mainly thought this was a grower champagne with zero dosage minus the bubbles. I was trying to figure out if the color was from oak but I wasn't getting those specific markers and then I thought to myself it's almost like it spent time on the lees. Bingo, back of the label says extended time on the lees. Nice creamy texture.

    Fantastic wine.

    June 6, 2022 - CMN's note is right on.

This was terrific. Still lively on the attack and mid-palate even at 6 years of age. The roundness on the finish is somewhat temperature-dependent. If you like a rounder (and a bit more tropical) finish, just let the wine warm up. I preferred mine at a lower temp.

I could see this lasting another 3 or 4 years at this level.

September 3, 2021 - You should just read CMN’s notes, but here goes. PNP. Sight reduction, blew off after 20 min. Lemon, minerals, nice spine of acidity. Bit of a rounded mouthfeel from extended time on the lees, but not oaky or buttery at all. Bright and refreshing, I really enjoyed this well balanced wine.
