January 30, 2023 - After purchasing this bottle from a bargain bin, I saw alot of haters and kind of wished I hadn't wasted my $20. I popped it in the "drink now" cooler and here we are. While I won't say it's anywhere close to stellar, 'it ain't too bad' either.
Dark, black cherry color and slow legs. Nose is black plum, pomegranate and thyme. Palate starts out with a little cranberry bitterness on the mid and back, which turns me off. But a little air kills that and the black fruit and spice of the shiraz shines through with an easy, light smokiness mid palate. The cab gives structure and familiarity and it turns out to be a nice, weeknight glass to sip while yelling at the dumb Bachelor on TV who keeps giving a rose to the pot stirring nut job.
In fact, as I'm typing this during commercials, I'm realizing a correlation - this bottle continues to draw me in as it opens up, much like an addictive reality show that you just can't seem to look away from.

September 10, 2022 - Good red and dark fruits (much cassus) with sweet spices on the nose. Also eucalyptus on the palate which has fresh medium+ acid and medium/+ tannins. Full bodied but fresh style and not very heavy for an Aussie.

August 17, 2022 - Deep ruby and plum notes on the nose. Taste is also plum rich but a bit flabby. Nice tannins and pepper but acid a bit light to balance the alcohol which is quite hot for the rest of the wine. Enjoyable but probably won’t get again.
